Shenron is the eternal dragon from Dragonball fame. Collect all seven dragon balls, and he will grant you any wish within his power. Apparently someone wished for a six-and-a-half-foot-long Shenron pillow because that is just what we have been given. Or, will be given in the near future. The pillow is currently up for pre-order from Premium Bandai and will ship in March 2016. The catch: it costs roughly $225. That’s the thing about wishing – loopholes, loopholes, loopholes.
The Shenron pillow is flexible enough to wrap around yourself, enabling you to carry it around without much hassle, and is easy to curl up into a cushion to rest on. It may not be as detailed as a statue or painted figure, but the head and face are by far the most distinguishable features of the dragon. And it would certainly be warmer than any scarf if it weren’t coming out around the same time as the birds and flowers.
With the hefty price tag, it’s clear this is a collector’s item more than anything, as memorabilia, especially functional merchandise, tends to be killer on the wallet. But if you’re one of those fans who doesn’t mind shelling out the dough for a god-like dragon you can drape around yourself as if it were alive, you might want to click the link for Bandai’s website above before all the Shenron pillows sell out.
