Finding something unique in your bag of snacks has become a collector’s hobby for some. Too bad one woman from Florida got a little more than “something unique,” because her bag of Doritos came with a disgusting rag. The worst part was that she had already taken several bites of the chips before discovering the rather hidden “treat.”
TikTok user brooke.e.brown, aka Brookie, is the woman in question, and in mid-November, she opened up a large bag of Doritos for some quick bites. However, she also touched something soft and mushy inside, and after pulling it out, it appears the bag of Doritos came with its own Doritos-flavored piece of cloth:
In the video, you can see Brookie unfolding the Doritos cloth or rag, though some have guessed it to be a wet wipe, which some people use to clean up their posteriors during certain “emergencies”. In any case, Brookie and her friends found the “rag” disgusting as they didn’t exactly know where it came from or whether it was already used when it got packed inside a bag of Doritos.
Initially, Brookie thought, “Is it just like a… raw Dorito?” which it wasn’t. You can also hear Brookie’s friend exclaming, “I’m gonna throw up,” while also advising her, “You need to send this to Doritos.” Brookie sadly ate some Doritos before she discovered the “flavorful” rag, “I just ate one too.” The TikToker has since tagged Doritos in her post, though so far Brookie hasn’t followed up with an update about her health or Doritos reaching out to her.
People online were equally disturbed and disgusted
Since Doritos has yet to issue an official statement or explanation, lots of viewers have made plenty of guesses about what exactly the Doritos rag is, but all had the same conclusion: it’s disgusting. “That’s 100% a wet butt wipe,” assures one commenter, though whether it was used or not isn’t immediately clear because of all the Doritos powder caking it up.
“That’s a Doritos equivalent of a GOLDEN TICKET. Video of pulling that will bring much more prosperity than a normal bag of chips ever would have,” hinting at how a potential lawsuit could be in Brookie’s favor. Some have expressed disbelief at Brookie’s claims, though her tagging Doritos and asking for clarification can also be seen as a sign of authenticity, “Back in my day we’d have marched straight to the Piggly Wiggly manager, not TikTok. Lord, give me strength and her a real job.”
In any case, many people were reminded of the other bizarre things they found in their snacks, but supposedly made no fuss about it. “One time I bid into a good humor, chocolatey clear ice cream bar, and it stretched all the crumbs were falling off it when I looked closer there was a big dirty rubber band in it,” claims one commenter, while another says, “I remember decades ago, I opened a milk bag and poured myself a glass… I drank it anyway and when I got to the bottom, there was a cent penny in the bottom of my glass.”
