This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Pokemon Go‘s “Adventures Near and Far” Timed Research offers Trainers plenty of rewards, but they must choose between the Studious Adventure or Sightseeing Adventure Path. While player choice is a celebrated concept, things can become problematic when Trainers aren’t given details on their objectives or potential compensation. Likewise, it’s best that you understand what the Studious and Sightseeing routes offer to make the proper choice for Adventures Near and Far in Pokemon Go.

According to the in-game description, the Sightseeing Adventure in Pokemon Go is “focused on collecting Pokemon, spinning PokeStops, and hatching Eggs.” Conversely, those who choose the Studios Adventure in Pokemon Go must focus on “catching specific Pokemon and completing Field Research” tasks. However, Trainers should note that both paths are identical regarding their rewards. In other words, regardless of your choice, you’ll receive the same Stardust, Trainer XP, and encounters.

Nevertheless, the objectives of your Timed Research adventure will differ depending on if you picked Sightseeing or Studious in Pokemon Go. If you prefer a simple route, we recommend Sightseeing, as it involves basic tasks that you’re probably doing daily anyway. Such quests include using Berries to catch Pokemon and hatching Eggs by simply walking.

On the other hand, those looking for a challenge and more variety in their gameplay should pick Pokemon Go‘s Studios Adventure. You’ll need to send Gifts to friends and catch specific species of Pokemon. All the while, participants must obtain and clear Field Research tasks to complete the Timed Research questline. The Path can be more fun for some but involves more effort and RNG.

To get started on either Sightseeing or Studious in Pokemon Go Adventures Near and Far, you need to Catch three Pokemon. Afterward, you’ll be rewarded with a Roggenrola Encounter, 500 Stardust, and a Drilbur Encounter. The Timed Research will then offer you the two Paths, of which involve the following tasks and rewards:

Do note that both Paths above involve walking 5 km. If you choose Sightseeing, we suggest hatching only 2 km Eggs. Needless to say, 7 km, 10 km, or 12 km Eggs will delay your Timed Research’s completion.
