Want to know if you should kill or revive the Doe in Remnant 2? While one of the core gameplay features of Remnant 2 is procedural world generation, the game’s story is also not linear, and many of the player’s decisions have consequences. Shortly after you visit the wooded world of Yaesha and solve the Water Harp puzzle, you will find yourself in a large room with an injured Doe. This creature is the soul and protector of the world of Yaesha, but Ravager standing nearby will order you to kill it. Should you listen to the monster? The answer is not as simple as it seems at first glance.

First of all, it is worth noting that there is no single correct answer to this question. By choosing any options, you will get different consequences that will affect your future gameplay. On the one hand, you are not a villain, and saving an innocent animal is the first thing that comes to mind. In addition, Ravager is on the side of Root, which makes him your enemy. On the other hand, by killing Doe, you will avoid a dangerous battle and get some pretty impressive rewards. However, to decide for sure, we describe the consequences of killing or reviving the Doe in Remnant 2.

What Happens if You Revive the Doe

So, if you decide to revive the Doe, you will automatically trigger the Ravager fight. Corrupted Ravager is not an easy enemy, so you should be well prepared for battle if you want to choose this option. But by defeating Ravager, you will receive the following rewards:

  • Trait Point
  • Crimson Membrane
  • Doe’s Antler

You can use the Crimson Membrane to craft the Merciless Long Gun by visiting Ava McCabe in Ward 13. This weapon has a built-in Bloodline mod that allows you to fire powerful energy blasts and deal massive damage. As for Doe’s Antler, you can use this material to create a unique Red Doe Staff.

What Happens if You Kill the Doe

On the other hand, by killing Doe, you automatically side with the Ravager. Although not the most pleasant decision, this choice will bring benefits for you and dire consequences for the world of Yaesha. Firstly, you will avoid a difficult battle with Ravager, but by doing so, you will give him the whole world at his disposal. Simply put, the world of Yaesha will be doomed to a slow death.

But as a reward for this decision, you will receive a Trait Point and the Ravager’s Mark amulet that allows you to deal more damage to Bleeding targets. In addition, the Blood Moon will shine in the world of Yaesha. Thanks to this, you can collect significantly more Blood Moon Essence. This material is extremely valuable to unlock the Summoner class or get items like the Blade of Gul.

Finally, it is worth adding that any choice excludes the consequences of the second. Simply put, revive Doe, you won’t get Ravager’s Mark amulet, and if you kill it, you’ll lose the Merciless Long Gun.
