During Starfield‘s UC faction questline, Hadrian will run into some issues that hit pretty close to home: Should you tell Hadrian about her father in Starfield? In the UC, you must try to enforce the law and maintain order among the inhabitants. To do this, you will have to go through an orientation and learn a bit about the history of the United Colonies. Specifically, you’ll learn about the execution of former ringleader François Sanon, aka Vae Victis and Hadrian’s father in Starfield.

Victus was executed after the war of the colonies due to his controversial actions. But you, in the midst of your mission, learn that he is alive and involved in a new terrormorph outbreak in New Atlantis. His son doesn’t claim to be like him. Would you tell him the truth or take advantage of the situation?

Should You Reveal Vae Victis’ Secret in Starfield?

As Hadrian’s mission with the United Colonies progresses, he will begin to discover that Vae Victis is involved in the outbreak. You will have loads of opportunities to tell the truth about Hadrian’s father’s existence in Starfield. This decision will be far from easy but be assured that it will turn the story upside down, whatever decision you make. 

If you decide to go public about Hadrian’s father in Starfield involvement in the Terrormorph outbreak in Tau Ceti and New Atlantis, tell Hadrian that his father is alive. This will cause the Cabinet to place him on wanted warrants immediately. What this basically does is put an end to the UC faction’s search. You can leverage this meaningful story for the roots of the United Colonies and take this update to the media to inform the entire population that justice has been done.

On the other hand, you can join Vae Victis’s side. Keep covering his trail and make easy money. Consequently, the quest for the United Colonies will continue over time. There’s a package of pre-emptive action missions every time you meet Hadrian’s father in Starfield. These quests consist of working for him as an assassin across the map, eliminating targets as Sanon demands. 

All in all, it’s a pretty heavy choice, but there are plenty of opportunities to back out of telling the truth by lying to Hadrian about where the intel is coming from.
