A woman who previously worked as a hairstylist for Fox Sports has filed a lawsuit against former host Skip Bayless. She alleges that Bayless made numerous unwanted advances toward her, including one instance where he offered her $1.5 million to have sex with him.
Skip Bayless Targeted Hairdresser With Sexual Remarks
Noushin Faraji worked with Fox as a hairstylist for more than 10 years. Now, she is seeking unspecified damages from Skip Bayless, Fox Sports, and Fox Corporation. The lawsuit was filed on Friday, January 3, in Los Angeles.
The suit names Bayless and other Fox employees. Faraji claims that executives at Fox fostered a hostile work environment where people like Bayless felt comfortable abusing workers without any fear of being punished.
Advances from Bayless started in 2017, according to Faraji. At one point, he requested that she start cutting his hair once a week. The haircuts started out fairly normal, with Bayless chatting about his life, work, and other things. However, as the weekly cuts continued, he started finding reasons to touch Faraji.
Eventually, Skip Bayless felt comfortable enough to offer up lingering hugs, kisses on the cheek, and even made comments about being able to change the hairdresser’s life if she’d got to bed with him. Noushin Faraji says that the former Fox Sports co-host offered her $1.5 million for sex. When she turned him down, he allegedly threatened her job.
Bayless allegedly told Faraji that she was “voluptuous” during one of their encounters. Because English isn’t her first language, she wasn’t sure what the word meant. After asking a coworker, she was “mortified.”
According to the filing, “Mr. Bayless then started being more aggressive and direct in his advances. Ms. Faraji continuously declined, stating that she did not date at work as she is a single mom and needed her job.”
After turning him down, Faraji said she received a text stating that Bayless was no longer in need of her services. He also apparently accused her of having sex with his co-host, Shannon Sharpe.
Misconduct Lawsuit Goes Beyond Bayless
In addition to Skip Bayless, Fox Sports, and the Fox Corporation, Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon and Fox Sports 1 host Joy Taylor are also listed in the lawsuit. Allegedly, at Taylor’s birthday party in 2017, Noushin Faraji was standing by the bar and approached by Dixon. He walked up to her and placed his hand on her lower back, asking how she was and if he could get her a shot of tequila.
As he spoke, he started touching her body and grabbed her butt. Feeling extremely uncomfortable, Faraji escaped the situation by faking a phone call. When she told Joy Taylor about what happened, Taylor told her to “get over it” and hinted at Dixon being able to get rid of both of their jobs.
In another instance, Faraji says that she was told by another female working at Fox that she’d have to sleep with Dixon to have her contract renewed. The suit recounts a number of other instances where she was sexualized and “mocked” during the time she worked with Fox. Despite taking her concerns to human resources multiple times, nothing was ever done.
Fox Sports issued a statement, making it clear that they take the allegations seriously, but they didn’t have any further comments about the lawsuit. In 2017, Fox Sports fired the head of programming following allegations of sexual harassment.
Skip Bayless worked for Fox Sports until 2024. His show was canceled after the ratings fell following the departure of his co-host, Sharpe. Faraji was also let go from the network in 2024 based on “fabricated” reasons.
