Skully, an adventure platformer about a small skull being reanimated, has been revealed. It’s being published by Modus Games and developed by Finish Line Games. Skully will release to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on August 4th. The CEO of Modus Games says that “To say this game is unique is an understatement.”. The teams celebrated the announcement of Skully on their social media, along with a new trailer showing off gameplay and mechanics.

What is Skully?

Skully - Announcement Trailer

Skully follows the story of a small skull that’s washed up on the shores of a mysterious island. After being awoken by an unknown deity, Skully must adventure around the island and solve different environmental puzzles. The deity isn’t doing this for free though, as they expect you to help them with a small problem. That problem being a war between siblings. You’ll adventure through the island and create different clay monsters in order to aid you on your quest. Some clay monsters will lift platforms, while others will handle enemies. It’ll be up to you to figure out how to use them and solve challenging puzzles in this rolly platformer.

“We’re really excited to share Skully with the world,” said the CEO of Finish Line Games. “its heroic journey of a seemingly unimposing character destined to accomplish great things.”. Overall, initial impressions make the game seem pretty fun. They’re taking advantage of the clay monster mechanic well with the ability to combine them. It’s an inspiring story too, showing that even the smallest things can accomplish quite fantastic feats. We’re interested in Skully, and we hope you are too.
