A Pennsylvania woman’s home security footage is drawing widespread attention after capturing a frightening encounter outside her front door. The video appears to show a man following her onto the porch late at night before a tense encounter unfolds just as she tries to get inside. Police have since arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.
According to police, the woman had been walking home from a nearby Pittsburgh bar when the man allegedly began following her. Ring camera footage appears to show him walking past the home before turning around and heading up the steps as she struggled to unlock her front door. Just as she finally gets inside, he moves toward the entrance before quickly backing away as commotion can be heard from inside the home.
Police later arrested 26-year-old Anthony Bartos, who was charged with stalking and several other offenses in connection with the incident. Speaking to WPXI, the woman said she realized the man had been following her and believes he deliberately approached when he saw her struggling to unlock the door.
The woman later said she believes the man “knew exactly how to be quiet” and deliberately approached her after noticing she was struggling with her keys. She described the encounter as terrifying and said she hopes sharing her story encourages others to stay vigilant.
