Sometimes, an extravagant residence and excessively luxurious livelihood are telltale signs of an obnoxious and insufferable individual. Of course, that’s not always the case, but it sure was for the house owner of a beachfront mansion in SoCal. A female Amazon driver was delivering a package to the affluent household when she realized she couldn’t locate the front door. To save time, she placed the box by the front gate. Before she could leave, the owner burst out of the mansion in a rage, shouting insults and threatening the poor girl with deportation because she didn’t place the package at the front door.
“There were no delivery notes for this stop, and if other drivers are also leaving it in that spot, it’s clearly not just me,” explained the driver. Not to mention, the front door of the mansion is not even visible if you’re standing in front of the gate, as discovered by Reddit users. Still, the enraged “went on about how all delivery drivers are stupid and can’t follow directions” to the female courier.
In shock, the driver couldn’t help but respond with something under the lines of “Judging by your house, you’re way too rich to be acting like this over a package.” He viciously responded with, “Don’t get deported while doing this for the rest of your life!” Well, we all now know who he voted for. Needless to say, this wild experience with the unhinged mansion owner left the Amazon courier shaken.
“I’m literally just a girl trying to pay rent and got f**king shamed and humiliated for delivering some packages. I called support and they told me it’s okay to return remainder of the route back to the station. Won’t be surprised if they literally just deactivate me for reporting this.”
Redditors shared her frustration in the comments of the post she made about the absurd incident. Other delivery employees shared their advice, suggesting “noise canceling headphones” to ignore such insufferable individuals. “This is precisely why my Bose QC Ultra earbuds are a must in this gig,” recommended a user. Others shamed the man for even opening his mouth. “If it was a man delivering the package, he’d probably p*ssy out and wouldn’t dare to say that in fear of getting his skull beat in 😂.“
Many more commenters chimed in, supporting the girl courier and criticizing the overreacting individual, calling him an “a**hole, d*ck, and ignorant prick” for what he did. “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones,” read a reflective comment. Several people managed to dox the man’s address. Unfortunately, this could be dangerous for him if any overly protective commenters lived in the area. Still, people like that are just asking to be retaliated against. As one person puts it: “Wealth like that is usually a sign of a sh**ty person.”
