Sofia Vergara was given a hard time by her own Instagram followers recently. Earlier this month, the sitcom star shared a throwback from her Dolce & Gabbana Vanity Fair photoshoot, and it wasn’t smooth sailing in the comments.
Sofia, 52, had fans noting her silence during the ICE deporations, with many thinking that she isn’t doing enough as a powerful, influential Latina woman. The former ABC actress did gain compliments for showing her sizzling figure as she lounged around a bathtub while outdoors, but even her biggest fans didn’t seem impressed. One even gained likes for saying that this is where they “block” her. Despite the drama, the post still gained over 700,000 likes, including celebrity ones from actress Sydney Sweeney and supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Lounging around a bubbly, deep-soaking tub, Sofia flashed her long legs and killer hips while in her birthday suit.
The Colombia native lay on her side while lifting her feet out of the tub, showing hints of her chest while teasing her toned tummy. Smiling a little as camera crew and equipment were caught in the image, Sofia sent out bombshell vibes in the 2015 snap, one fans clearly haven’t forgotten. Getting ‘Blocked’ By Her Own Followers
Over 2,000 fans agreed when one user slammed the post, saying: “Girl they’re deporting people why u gotta post yourself half na*ked rn.” Another called the TV star’s post “out of touch,” echoing thoughts on fellow actress Eva Longoria’s Instagram, although the Desperate Housewives star has made a statement about the deporattions.
“Sofia i love you but what are you doing??” a further user asked. For one fan, it was too much. Over 100 users liked their goodbye comment, one reading:
“This is where I block you. FFS, Sophia, Latinos all over the country are being prosecuted and persecuted. Can you hold off a minute showing us your body.” Vergara holds dual Colombian and U.S. citizenship and has always fiercely defended being a Latina while also celebrating her heritage.
Elsewhere, Sofia has been in the news for continuing to cash in via her various brands. She’s been updating her IG with her Walmart clothing ads, Dios Mio coffee promos, and plenty for her Toty sunscreen brand, launched in 2023.
