We are always happy to get surprise releases on a day. The last one we got was Hi-Fi Rush which got announced and released on the same day. Now we got Sonic Colors: Ultimate which just had a surprise launch on Steam. This is great as no one was expecting it, and it is even greater for Sonic fans. While many are still playing Sonic Frontiers, it is always nice to see the blue hedgehog making its way to other platforms. While this game was available in other places already, it is nice to see it land on Valve’s huge library of games.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate get a Steam launch accompanied by a huge discount
If the surprise launch of Sonic Colors: Ultimate on Steam wasn’t enough, there’s also an incentive for players to buy it there. If you decide to purchase the game on Steam, you’ll get a 30% discount when buying it. This is great as most people prefer to play on Steam due to achievements and a more user-friendly layout. So, if you have been holding on buying this title, now’s the time. The normal price is $39.99, but anyone who gets it today will get it for $27.99.

Sonic Frontiers Releases a Free Christmas DLC
While many people are excited about the game, some notice that the title has some issues; while not big, it has become sort of a tradition for Sonic games to launch with technical problems. Sonic Frontiers wasn’t an exception. It had one of the worst pop-in cases in recent games when it launched. This has not been addressed officially, but several mods out there aim to fix the issue. So, while we have not seen a true and perfect Sonic game yet, the franchise is still standing strong and bringing some fun titles for fans. With the surprise launch of Sonic Colors: Ultimate, we have yet another game to add to the library of Sonic titles.
