In a community Q&A, the developers of Sons of the Forest shared some exciting plans for the future of the game. They chose not to reveal too many specific details, but they confirmed that they are working hard to include the most-requested features from the fanbase and improve the game’s AI characters. It’s vital to note that the game was released in early access instead of being delayed, which means that some of the desired features may not be present yet. Nonetheless, the developers are dedicated to continually improving the game based on player feedback, and the support of the fans is helping to drive the game’s growth.

Sons of the Forest Developers Revealed Their Plans

One of the most exciting announcements is that the log sled from the original game, The Forest, will be making a return to Sons of the Forest. This decision comes after the developers received numerous requests from players for the beloved tool to make a comeback. Endnight expressed surprise at the amount of demand for the log sled’s return, stating that they were unsure if it was worth putting back in due to the issues it had in the previous game. However, with the clear demand from fans, they have decided to bring it back and improve it for Sons of the Forest.

In addition to the log sled, Endnight has also confirmed plans to expand the game’s story with more cutscenes, adding to the already mysterious and intriguing narrative of the game. There are also new plans to add more tasks for the player’s companion, Kelvin, giving players more options for how they want to progress through the game. Kelvin has already become a fan favorite, with many players dubbing him the new “best boy” of video games.

Endnight also wants to add more crafting items to improve the experience. This was one of the biggest problems in The Forest; the crafting wasn’t so good. The studio has a shot at making everything right; they did wrong in the past.

What’s the biggest thing you expect for Sons of the Forest?
