In addition to collecting resources from animals and plants, you can cook them over a fire to make them more nourishing and satisfying. Sons of the Forest: How to Cook Food

You can cook in Sons of the Forest by laying the meat on the campfire. Here are the steps you need to follow.

  1. Go to your inventory and select some Sticks.
  2. Break the Sticks into parts by clicking the left mouse button and pile them on the ground.
  3. Get the Lighter and fire the Sticks by clicking the E button.
  4. Hold the E button and put some leaves to keep the fire  burning
  5. .Take some meat from the inventory and cook it on the fire.

You can cook various foods like meat, fish, and mushrooms. But avoid getting foods like Twinberries, Devil’s Club, and Fly Amanita. Also, you can preserve foods on a drying rack if you like. You can craft a drying rack by using 13 sticks.

Once the food is cooked, you can enjoy it! But remember to put out the fire when you’re done cooking. This will help prevent unwanted enemies from finding you.
