Since the revelation of her diagnosis with a cancerous brain tumor (medulloblastoma), Isabella Strahan has received warm support from fans, friends, and celebrities. Her sister, Sophia Strahan has since joined the outpouring, praising the survivor in a hearty social media post. Notably, Michael Strahan‘s daughter Isabella granted an interview on Good Morning America alongside her dad with his co-anchor Robin Roberts. During the bombshell, the duo opened up in detail about the 19-year-old’s diagnosis with a brain tumor in October, and her grueling steps to recovery ever since.
Sophia Strahan Praises Sister in Heartfelt Snaps Amid Brain Tumor Battle
While her recovery journey is far from over, the teenager thankfully has her twin sister Sophia by her side through it all. Sophia Strahan, a freshman at Duke University shared a handful of snaps on Instagram documenting their moments spent together at the hospital as Isabella underwent treatment to beat the cancerous brain tumor. She captioned it with the sweetest tribute to her sister, commending her bravery in the last three months. Sophia wrote,
“Iโm so lucky to have the most amazing sister and best friend in the world. The last few months have been so much harder than we could have ever imagined, but itโs made me realize just how strong you are. You inspire me and Iโm so proud of you. Us forever ๐.”
Michael Strahan’s daughter Sophia Strahan accompanied her writeup with several tear-jerking shots of herself spending time with her sister Isabella during various hospital visits amid the brain tumor diagnosis. The first shot featured the two girls lying side by side on a pillow, with Isabella having a beanie over her head. In another shot, the two girls lay together on a hospital bed, wearing nose masks. Despite looking famished with various medical devices connected to her head, the star mustered a smile. Another shot taken before having her hair shaved showed the college freshman on a hospital bed, giving the camera a thumbs up.

Sophia also included a clip of Isabella trying on a cat-faced mask while confined to a chair. Aside from the snaps documenting Isabella Strahan’s medulloblastoma diagnosis, the budding model, who is Michael Strahan’s daughter with ex-wife Jean Mugglie posted snaps of herself and Isabella as kids. She also shared memories of the good times with their dad despite their recent challenges.
Hopefully, the family will experience more sweet moments in the future, free of medical woes. The doctor overseeing the treatment gave his prognosis on air following the interview, confirming Michael Strahan’s daughter had a high chance of total recovery. While the battle prevails, the teenager hopes to document more of her battle via her new YouTube series.
Following surgery to remove the golf-sized brain tumor, Isabella had a month of rehabilitation to relearn basic body functions. She also completed her radiation treatment in 30 grueling sessions and now focuses on commencing her Chemotherapy. This phase of her treatment which she hoped to complete at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center, Durham would hopefully set her on the path to complete remission.
