A woman in Fort Mill, South Carolina, shared a clip online in which she told Republicans, including President Donald Trump, that they should “count their days.” She then mentioned he had a “loaded shotgun,” and appeared to threaten anyone who came across her path. The woman has since deleted her socials and even posted an explanation, saying it was “rage bait.”
The woman’s name is Alissa Haase, who posted her clip on her now-deleted TikTok account. Other accounts, mostly right-wing ones, managed to download her clip and repost it to call her out. In particular, Right Angle News Network (RANN) shared it on X, and the video garnered 881,500 views, 28,000 likes, and 3,100 comments.
The 26-second clip shows the South Carolina woman talking to the camera. From the get-go, her tone was made evident, as she told the “presidential party,” that is, the Republican party, to “count their days.”
“If I see any one of you, and I know who you are, […] I have a loaded shotgun. I’m putting it between your eyes,” she said in the clip.
As the video shows, Alissa says her words are directed at Trump, and then “it goes down the line of power.” She concluded, “If any of you guys are coming across my path and I happen to see you, it will be your last.”
Socials Deleted, Apology, Reactions
The clip sparked backlash almost immediately due to Alissa’s rhetoric. Subsequently, she decided to delete most of her social media accounts.
The South Carolina woman, however, shared a statement on Facebook in response to the clip. She clarified that the video was “rage bait” and that she “never planned to harm anyone or anything.”
“I am deeply sorry for contributing to the toxic rage and hate in this country,” she wrote. “[…] Please, for the love of god leave me alone.”
Once her clip was reposted online, users reacted to it in many ways.
Most users wanted to see Alissa behind bars because of her clip, with one user saying, “Make her famous… and incarcerated,” and RANN writing, “Would be a shame if her employer and the Secret Service saw this.”
Others didn’t believe her rage bait explanation, with one commenting, “Are you serious? You threatened to kill people as a joke? That is not funny. Grow up and act like an adult for a change.” Another one added, “When you turn off of ‘[expletive] Around Street’ and find yourself on ‘Find Out Boulevard.’“
Given the heated political climate between both sides of the political spectrum, it is no wonder that Alissa’s clip sparked so many heated responses. After all, she is far from the first person to post something of the nature, with many others having set precedent for online outrage.
Whether the South Carolina woman will face any legal or work-related repercussions is still unclear.
