Spider-Boy is joining Marvel’s crossover event, Gang War, in the Infinity Comic Spider-Man Unlimited #19. The fan-favorite Spidey persona is fresh off a run in Dan Slott and Mark Bagley’s Spider-Man series. Now, after starring in his own solo series, also from Slott and artist Paco Medina, he is stepping into Marvel’s Gang War. As the crossover event ramps up, Spider-Boy, AKA Bailey Briggs, is swinging in to help keep the streets of New York safe.

As the major crossover event known as Gang War spreads throughout the Marvel Universe, it is about to make its way to the Infinity series. Unfortunately, big hitters like Spider-Man, Luke Cage, and Daredevil are dealing with the battling crime bosses. This means they can’t focus on the smaller battles taking place across the streets. Thankfully, Spider-Boy is around to lend a hand.

The official synopsis for Spider-Man Unlimited #19 reveals that the Gang War is raging stronger than ever. While Spider-Man’s squad is busy battling the crime bosses, Spider-Boy must step up. The young hero is charged with keeping the streets safe for civilians. However, Spider-Boy’s Spidey-Sense is tingling. It is telling him that something is going down at F.E.A.S.T., the place he calls home. Spider-Man Unlimited comes from writer Preeti Chibber and artist E.J. Su.

Big Year For The Spidey-Hero

Spider-Boy had quite a year last year. The young hero featured in his very first solo series. The ten-year-old’s secret history as Spider-Man’s sidekick was almost lost thanks to the Great Web. However, all of that was leading up to this Unlimited story where the youngster can prove himself worthy of the Spider-moniker.

Writer Dan Slott shared his excitement at getting to play around with Spider-Boy before the debut of his solo series last November. Specifically, he was excited to mess with all the possibilities the character offers. Now, Spider-Boy is getting the chance to prove himself in Marvel’s Gang War.

Spider-Man Unlimited #19 is on Marvel Unlimited now.
