Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have announced that the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is officially available for purchase today on the Nintendo Switch system. It’s available via the Nintendo eShop for $14.99|£11.29|12,49€, with a file size of 12.0 GB. The critically acclaimed, award-winning RPG title by BioWare was originally announced for release on the Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Direct presentation held on September 23, 2021. The original trailer briefly showcased during the direct went over the features to be included in this remastered title, and a new trailer has since been released to celebrate the official launch.

The Fate of the Galaxy Rests In Your Choices

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is set some four thousand years before the foundation of the Galactic Empire. You play as a warrior who falls deep into the conflict between the Jedi Order and the Sith. After hundreds of Jedi Knights have fallen in battle against the ruthless assault of the Sith, you are their very last hope to save the Jedi Order as well as the galaxy. With story-branching and RPG elements that change the course of the game, every decision you make matters, and which side of the mystical Force you choose to master will ultimately determine the fate of the galaxy as all who know it. Will you be able to master the awesome power of the Force and save the Republic, or use that power to fall to the lure of the dark side and contribute to its destruction? The choice is yours.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for the Nintendo Switch is among many re-releases over the years on modern consoles, such as the PC, mobile, and soon enough, the PS5. Will you be getting your hands on this legendary RPG classic at launch? Let us know in the comments below!
