Even though Star Wars: Squadrons‘ developer, EA Motive Studios, said that the game won’t be getting DLCs, it seems they have made an exception for special occasions. Starting October 28th, you will be able to unlock The Mandalorian-themed Star Wars: Squadrons DLC, just in time for the season 2 premiere on Disney+. In total, the downloadable contents will consist of eight new cockpit items for both Imperial and New Republic starfighter, including:

  • ‘Blurrg’ and ‘Bounty’ holograms.
  • Cockpit decals.
  • Dashboard flairs, IG-series Assassin Droid for Imperial planes and Mysterious Creature/Baby Yoda bobblehead for New Republic planes.
  • and hanging flairs, Deskar Ingot for Imperial ships and Razor Crest Gunship for New Republic ships.

Star Wars: Squadrons launched on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 2nd with cross-play and HOTAS flight stick support across all platforms. It also released with optional VR support for PS VR and PC. The space dogfighting game was released with a story mode set after the events of Return of the Jedi that lets you side with the newly established New Republic or the remnants of the Galactic Empire.

Star Wars: Squadrons  also features two 5v5 multiplayer combat modes: Dogfight and Fleet Battles. In Dogfight, you and the enemy’s squadron compete in destroying as many opponents as possible. Fleet Battles, on the other hand, have you destroying the enemy team’s flagships.

After launch, the development team promised that it will add new features, such as daily challenges to earn in-game currency, Glory, and a season pass system with an eight-week cycle called Operations. But the creative director, Ian Frazier, has explicitly stated that they aren’t planning to sell Star Wars: Squadrons DLCs.
