At long last we have received a far more in-depth trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Released during Monday Night Football’s halftime, this is the first full trailer we have received for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Showcasing dialogue from the majority of the principle characters, new locations, and set pieces; this was the trailer we all waited for. Don’t let me keep you in suspense, however, check it out below!

Amazing right? What I found most interesting about this is the obvious lack of Luke Skywalker, though I can appreciate that Abrams wants to focus on the new more. One of the characters that has really caught my interest is Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie who is playing that chromed out Stormtrooper named Captain Phasma. While there is almost nothing detailed about her, it’s going to be interesting to see if they try to give the soldiers more personality. Set to release December 18th (less than two months!) it will see the return of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), and Leia (Carrie Fisher). Joining them, as in seen in order of the new trailer, are Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Other characters such as R2-D2, C-3PO, and Chewbacca will also return in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
