After 16 years, Rose Winters will have to return to the damned Castle Dimitrescu to cleanse herself of her abilities and answer her questions. As you progress through the DLC, you will have to fight familiar and new monsters, destroy the Mutamycete Cores, and solve riddles. The Resident Evil series has always loved giving players a few logic quests, and the Shadows of Rose, the Village DLC, is no exception, like its Statue Puzzle. Fortunately, we know how to solve this obstacle in this adolescent’s road.

How to Complete the Statue Puzzle in Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose

As we said earlier, you must solve many riddles and puzzles as you progress through Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose. One of them is waiting for you in the Hall of Ablution, and it’s relatively easy to solve. As soon as you find yourself in the room, you will see four statues standing at different ends of the room, and one torch is burning above each of these. In addition, at the end of the room, there is a painting with a clue.

“Although I have just drowned, the arrows’ bit doth sting. They hanged me long ago, yet I feel everything. But still the worst, not last nor first, the sharpened blade did ring.”

To solve the puzzle, you must interact with each statue in the correct subsequence. The Statue will move closer to the wall if you make the right choice, and the torch will not go out. If you make a mistake, the torch will go out, and all the statues will return to their original position. So to complete the Statue Puzzle in Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose, you must interact with the statues in the following subsequence:

  • Strangled Statue of Rose
  • Sword-pierced Statue of Rose
  • Devoured Mutamycete Statue of Rose
  • Arrow-pierced Statue of Rose

Once you do this, you will complete the puzzle. After that, you will get a cut scene with the door opening on the floor. You will also be able to move on through the plot of the DLC. You will also have to face many more aberrations and other mutations of different viruses for the rest of the journey.
