It’s that time of year again for PC gamers. The 2018 Steam Summer Sale is now live!
“The Intergalactic Summer Sale” features a new sale-centric game called Saliens, in which players are pitted against the Duldrumz, invaders described as “purveyors of boredom in the highest order,” who are here to rob the galaxy of all the great Steam games so they can hide them on distant planets and keep everyone from playing them. But, the heroic Saliens are here to stop them. You take control of the galaxy’s defenders as they fend off hoards of Duldrumz in various interplanetary locales, all while gaining experience and great rewards (including free games) on the path to victory.
To nobody’s surprise, the game isn’t working right now, as the servers are packed with discount-hungry gamers waiting to pounce. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon.
Steam patrons can earn three free steam cards per day by browsing their Discovery Queue, which can then be converted into a badge when all of them are collected. Finally, there are some great deals on heavily discounted games.
