In Yostar’s latest anime gacha RPG, you play as a Tyrant that commands a squad of Trekkers to crawl through Monoliths for riches. Like many gacha titles, your team’s power heavily depends on the characters you recruit, as not all of them are created equal. Some units can completely breeze through Ascensions with broken skills and passives, while others struggle. With 27 Trekkers already available at launch, our Stella Sora tier list ranks the best units you can get.
Stella Sora Tier List Explanation

S Tier
These units are top-tier picks in the current Stella Sora meta. They have excellent attributes and provide stat boosts that easily dominate other Trekkers.
- Chitose | 5★ Aqua, Vanguard: The best Aqua unit in the game, thanks to massive damage and area-of-effect potential.
- Gerie | 5★ Terra, Vanguard: The best Terra unit so far, supported by excellent damage-over-time attacks and high defense.
- Minova | 5★ Lux, Versatile: Amazing DPS and Support unit with a wide area and summon attacks. Get this Lux unit if you can.
- Nazuna | 5★ Terra, Support: The best Support unit in this game with great heals and regen. Especially if you’re facing enemies weak to Terra, as she can buff the element damage.
- Chixia | 5★ Ignis, Versatile: Arguably the strongest Ignis element unit so far. Amazing damage-over-time and crowd control potential.
A Tier
Strong contenders with reliable stats and unique advantages. Combine them with the right teammates to realize their potential.
- Nanoha | 5★ Ventus, Vanguard: Very strong Ventus DPS, but mostly works as a Support, increasing the party’s mobility and damage.
- Ridge | 4★ Terra, Versatile: Very strong single-target Terra unit with great range. Use her against Terra-weak enemies and utilize her elemental boost.
- Mistique | 5★ Umbra, Versatile: Provide a strong area-of-effect damage as well as debuffing ability. A great all-rounder despite her Umbra element.
- Cosette | 4★ Umbra, Support: A very unique character, as her kit mostly works to debuff enemies until they can barely attack. Has pretty strong area-of-effect moves as well.
- Freesia | 5★ Aqua, Versatile: One of the best crowd control units you can get your hands on. Hits pretty hard and can slow enemies despite her relatively shorter range.
- Flora | 4★ Ignis, Support: A strong enough Ignis character that comes with critical rate and base attack buffs as well as heals on crits.
- Teresa | 4★ Aqua, Support: If you’re looking to tank some damage, then you can’t go wrong with her. Teresa’s shield capability can soak up a lot of damage and can be applied to the Main Trekker as well.

B Tier
Viable picks with situational strengths. Decent for free-to-play Stella Sora players or for creative builds.
- Caramel | 4★ Umbra, Vanguard: Solid unit that can buff her fellow Umbra Trekkers. But she comes with an awkward play style, making Caramel kind of hard to play casually.
- Iris | 4★ Lux, Versatile: The best free units you get from the intro. As a Support, her ice ultimate can freeze enemies, giving you plenty of time to deal damage.
- Jinglin | 4★ Lux, Versatile: Works mostly as a Support unit since her skills are for debuffing enemies and buffing other Trekkers.
- Amber | 4★ Ignis, Vanguard: A decent enough character, especially if you can pair her with other Ignis units. Completely outshone by higher-tier DPS, though.
- Kasimira | 4★ Lux, Versatile: Similar to Amber, okay enough for the early game before you get better units. She can also increase the crit damage of fellow Ignis Trekkers.
- Tilia | 4★ Lux, Support: Discount Teresa with a Lux element. Okay enough if you’re looking to add a tanker to the team.
- Ann | 4★ Ventus, Support: A so-so character, can help boost Main Trekker’s damage when used as Support.
C Tier
The lowest-performing Trekkers as of the current Stella Sora update. Underwhelming performance, we recommend rerolling if you get them.
- Shimiao | 4★ Aqua, Vanguard: A subpar Aqua unit, fun-looking attack animation, but that’s all there is to her.
- Coronis | 4★ Umbra, Versatile: A slightly better DPS than Noya, but is outclassed by other Umbra units.
- Noya | 4★ Ventus, Vanguard: Pretty meh Ventus character with short attack range.
- Canace | 4★ Ventus, Versatile: Useless compared to other Trekkers, as her kit only buffs herself.
- Laru | 4★ Lux, Vanguard: Weak and has a pretty poor kit.
Can You Reroll Units in Stella Sora?

Most gacha games will force you to clear your data and restart your save to reroll. But not Stella Sora. Thankfully, you can get up to 15 rerolls in the first Beginner’s Banner that the game offers. Then, while rerolling, you can save up to five rerolls and pick the most desired outcome following our Stella Sora tier list. Pretty convenient if you ask us.
Aside from the Amber, Iris, and Noya trio, the game gives you one other free Trekker. The 4-Star Ventus Support Ann can be claimed from the ‘Pre-registration Reward’ message in the Message menu. Don’t forget that you can acquire Stellanite Dust from various activities; clearing Achievements, completing Missions, reading Stories, among others.
