The tabletop gaming community, as well as many others, are mourning the passing of Steven Russell tonight. The award-winning designer, developer, and publisher was the CEO of Rite Publishing, a company known for among other things, its Pathfinder supplements. It has been reported that Steven Russell was killed in a car accident in Dayton, Ohio. He leaves a legacy as a creator, mentor, and friend. The world has lost a real talent, and a great person. Under Steven, Rite Publishing had produced more than 350 products for games such as 13th Age, Dungeon World, Fate, Arcana Evolved, Pathfinder, and Diceless Roleplaying. He also worked as a freelance designer for Paizo Publishing, Expeditious Retreat Press, and EN Publishing.
We at The Nerd Stash send our condolences to Mr. Russell’s family and friends.
