Ghostbuster costumes, Ego’s and Giant Slenderman Mist Monsters in the Sky, only Stranger Things could manage to top a Super Bowl like that with a mere teaser for their second season. While the Super Bowl has always been known for comical and prolific ads, the teaser was a pleasant surprise and a standout.

The trailer does an impressive job of revealing small tidbits of information that are enticing and satisfying, without giving away everything up front. From the fate of Eleven to the Parasite inhabiting Will, there are plenty of answers in Season two that viewers have been itching to be solved.

Not everything unanswered question from season one was revealed in the trailer, though, as our resident sheriff is notably absent, at least on the surface. While Hopper is nowhere to be found in the teaser, there are few new intriguing details.

Like season one, the most interesting aspect of the trailer surrounds the mystery behind this season’s monster. Depicted in both a drawing and a short scene with Will staring out his front door, glimpses of a stranger tentacles monster loom over the city in a misty blood red sky.

While Season two had already been confirmed last year, Stranger Things teaser revealed that the original July release date has now been pushed back to October. Though the delay is disappointing, the Duffer brothers have earned a pass on this one after the tremendous first season and a marvelous teaser trailer.

As of now the release date is simply Halloween, which could either be the exact date of Tuesday, October 31 or could just be a generalization. Until then be sure to check back to the site regularly for updates and all your daily nerd news!
