Nowadays, it isn’t strange to see some crazy crossovers in the gaming industry, such as the recently announced Street Fighter 6 and Spy x Family. When looking at these two, one would never typically see them cross paths, but as always, the creative teams behind these franchises have made it work. With a new anime trailer, Capcom has teased this new event and announced the release date for it. However, there isn’t news regarding what items to expect once the collaboration arrives.

Street Fighter 6 and Spy x Family Collaboration Launches on January 9, 2024

On January 9, 2024, players can enjoy the latest collaboration event in Street Fighter 6. If this event is anything like the one we had with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we could expect the same items. A few costumes, many emotes, stickers, and so on. However, this is just speculation because the event’s reveal will happen on the aforementioned date. Still, it is nice to see that Capcom is embracing its crossovers and making them work regardless of how improbable they might seem initially.

Many players hope the items are easy to unlock or not too costly due to Costumes 3 launching not too long ago. If you didn’t know, these outfits were quite expensive, and some players didn’t like that. With the recent announcement of the Street Fighter 6 and Spy x Family collaboration, many hope it’ll go easier on our wallets.

Overall, 2023 was a great year for Capcom’s latest fighting game. It even has a few nominations in The Game Awards, including Best Fighting Game, Best Multiplayer, and Innovation in Accessibility. With that in mind, it is safe to say Capcom won’t abandon its latest goldmine in the coming months. And, if you prefer another genre but from the same developers, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is on its way, and it just had a fantastic presentation showcasing new gameplay footage.
