Subway Riders Stunned as Man Hauls Entire Garden Onto Train: ‘Welcome to the Jungle’

“This guy just hauled two-thirds of a rainforest onto the subway.”

New Yorkers are no strangers to unusual sights, but a man holding up a subway train to load dozens of large plants took even seasoned commuters by surprise. The man spent several minutes hauling potted plants onto the train, turning the car into a mini greenhouse and causing delays that left passengers both amused and annoyed.

The video of the incident, shared on TikTok by @fren.fry, shows the man methodically loading plant after plant onto the train. As the delay grew, frustrated passengers began voicing their complaints. The man, unfazed, shouted back, calling those annoyed by the holdup “haters.”

The sheer number of plants left viewers online in disbelief. One commenter joked that it looked like he was transporting a rainforest. Many others were puzzled about how he managed the feat. Did he bring the plants in all at once on a cart? Did he make multiple trips? Some viewers speculated on how he planned to unload them at his destination, wondering if the train might leave with half the plants still onboard.

Opinions on the incident were divided. Some felt it was a classic example of the unique chaos of New York City. Others saw it as inconsiderate, pointing out that the delay likely caused commuters to be late for work.

Despite the frustration, many found the situation humorous, with some even admiring the man’s determination. “You can’t help but laugh,” one comment noted, “This is peak NYC energy.”

The original video hasn’t exactly gone viral, but it’s making the rounds over on Reddit where all the usual debates about public transit etiquette and the quirks of city life were argued. While it’s unclear if the man and his plants made it to their destination, the story reminds us there’s never a dull moment in the Big Apple.
