New video games and trailers have always synonymized themselves with the start of summer. Yet, this year, E3 2022’s cancellation has made many worry about the state of their favorite games. Yet, Geoff Keighley isn’t far behind with his new event. The Summer Game Fest 2022 is set to replace E3 as the premiere summer gaming showcase. Building off The Game Awards’ unique presence to showcase new and exciting games, Summer Game Fest runs with that idea. After two successful years, the event has certainly gained enough notoriety. Filled with plenty of news to appease any video game fan, this year’s event will surprise and excite many fans. SGF 2022 is shaping into a much grander event in scale than ever before. With that in mind, Geoff Keighley has finally announced the Summer Game Fest date and time of the livestream.

When Is The Summer Game Fest 2022 Livestream Date and Time?
While the event’s first year kicked off in May, the second year started on June 10th. This year seems to be following in its previous iteration’s footsteps by placing its event on June 9th. The event will premiere at 11 AM PST or 2 PM EST. Yet, what’s interesting to note is a later tweet confirming the screening of the event in specific IMAX theaters. These experiences will be available not only for Summer Game Fest but presumably The Game Awards 2022 as well this December. Despite a schedule or event list not yet available, those should be made public as we inch closer to June 9th. With a link to the website, Keighley promises more developer discussions to come in June, as there is certainly a lot planned for this year’s Summer Game Fest.
