Summer Game Fest treated us to a Gotham Knights Nightwing gameplay trailer, and it offered fans another insight into this open-world DC game. Batman has always had allies that stood with him against the villains of Gotham City, but one of the most famous of them all is Nightwing.

Check out the Gotham Knights Nightwing trailer below.

What Does the Gotham Knights Nightwing Trailer Show Us?

This Gotham Knights Nightwing trailer was another all but brief gameplay trailer at this year’s Summer Games Fest, but it did reveal enough about the character without spoiling us all. The trailer reveals a lot more about the abilities of the character, including some fancy parkour moves and acrobatic attacks, which stem from Grayson’s time in the circus, as well as showing fans some of the customizations the character can have to his overall look (sporting a very lovely ponytail at one point). Nightwing is the de-facto leader in Gotham Knights, and the man that was the original Robin looks set to cause some damage in this open-world DC game.

Gotham Knights is the latest Batman game from developer WB Games Montreal, the brains behind the critically acclaimed Arkham series. It involves Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood as they look to sweep up those crime-laden streets of Gotham now that Batman and Commissioner Gordon have both died.

What the Gotham Knights Nightwing trailer doesn’t tell us, but what we already know is that this young Bat-family will have to uncover the secrets surrounding the Court of Owls, a mysterious society who are at the heart of all the crime and corruption in the city. They have controlled these mean streets for years and now look to finally rid Gotham of its final heroes.

This open-world DC game is set to be released on 25 October 2022 for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows – it’s certainly one that’s not to be missed if you loved those Arkham games.
