Sunset Overdrive is officially coming to PC! The Xbox exclusive will now be experienced by PC players all over the world.

The announcement came from Insomniac Games on Twitter, while also releasing a trailer to prove it. The trailer featured a few characters from the game and it also showed how players will be able to customize their character.

It wasn’t an easy process for Insomniac Games to get to this point. With the original Sunset Overdrive releasing all the way back in 2014, it took them four years to finalize its release for Windows 10 PC. However, talk about a spot for the Xbox One exclusive on the PC started just about two years ago.

I’m personally surprised that it wasn’t released on PC at the same time it was released for Xbox One. Of course, it was one of the games that Microsoft Studios created to get people to buy an Xbox One.

Back in 2016, Insomniac already mentioned that it was looking to make Sunset Overdrive available to PC players. It said that they would “love” to have the game on the PC but it needed the final approval from Microsoft Studios first. Just last year Insomniac CEO, Ted Price alluded that he’d like to make a sequel for all platforms. However, the studio is lacking an official publisher to make that aspiration a reality.

Shortly after, Sunset Overdrive for PC was rated on the Korean Game Rating Board. It also appeared on ESRB’s website. Now finally, Sunset Overdrive is officially available today. You can purchase it on SteamDB and on Amazon.

The price of the game is $20 for PC. Xbox One players can get the game for less. Are you going to buy Sunset Overdrive for PC? For those who have already played it on Xbox, did you enjoy Sunset Overdrive? Let us know in the comments below!
