It’s been a good while since I played through Superhot, but was that ever a good game. I loved the whole background story on that game, and the gunplay felt so fluid and enjoyable. It’s a really solid game, and I suggest you play through it if you haven’t already. This is the best time to try it too, considering today’s announcement. Superhot is getting a new game, known now as Superhot: Mind Control Delete. What started as a DLC for Superhot, has turned into a fully-fledged game after three years of work. It’ll be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One starting July 16th and will be available later on for Nintendo Switch. The developers announced the news via a reveal trailer released this morning.
Superhot: Mind Control Delete is a standalone title taking place in the Superhot universe. It’s four times larger, offering much more content and expanding upon what the first game did. This new title promises all the time-bending action you’ve come to know and love, along with a deeper dive into the game’s narrative. Given that Superhot was the most innovative shooter I’ve played in years, I have no doubts that this title will live up to that feat.
Superhot: Mind Control Delete will be available for $24.99, but I have good news for Superhot owners. If you own the game on any of the aforementioned platforms, you can get Mind Control Delete for completely free. If you own it on any PC platform (excluding Origin, itch.io, and the Microsoft Store) or PS4, the game will show up in your library the day of launch. For Xbox users, you’ll get a system message within seven days of launch with your game copy. Switch, Microsoft Store, and itch.io users won’t immediately have access to the game but can email the team at their respective emails with a receipt and get a DRM-free copy. The same goes for the Origin Store, but you get an activation key through that. The email addresses are as follows:
Switch – [email protected]
Microsoft Store – [email protected]
itch.io – [email protected]
Origin – [email protected]
We hope you’re as excited as we are about Superhot: Mind Control Delete. What do you think of the original reveal trailer? If you played the original Superhot, what were your thoughts on it? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
