Supervive Brings a New Playtest and Evolving Items

An item for every situation

If there’s one game I’ve been eagerly waiting to play properly, it is Supervive. Despite its generous playtests with community members and constant updates, we are all counting the days for an official release. To make the wait longer but the hype larger, Supervive has announced a new playtest starting in a few days, which those lucky enough to have access to the game can join. Furthermore, for those already familiar with a few of the game’s concepts, Supervive is making some interesting changes to its gearing in the form of evolving items.

As you can see in the above image, Supervive has decided to change a few things up regarding evolving items. In my preview, I mentioned how itemization in the game was great as it wasn’t overwhelming or felt restrictive. However, it seems that now, once an item reaches Tier 3, you’ll be able to pick one of three options. Most of the effects of these items still remain a mystery, but there’s an example of the Tech Helm item evolving into new ones that offer shields, HP regeneration when outside of combat, and even sharing damage with another ally. This change to how gear works will definitely make gearing during a match more interesting and make way for different character builds.

Besides the evolving items, Supervive is also hosting a new playtest from September 5 to September 8, and it will feature important changes to how equipment works during a match. If you haven’t tried this game yet, now’s your chance. You can still try to get a key for it by heading to the game’s website and seeing if you’re lucky enough to jump into Supervive. If not, you should watch out for any new announcement because I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Supervive is the next big live service game that will hook everyone who likes a bit of League combined with Overwatch and amazing sandbox elements.
