We are excited to check out our very first Supply Pod subscription box from Outer Places.  The box they sent us was available in November/December 2015 and had a Star Wars Theme.  When we received the box in the mail, I was immediately impressed with the packaging.

Supply Pod

The box not only had a great design, the quality of the box was very good.  The first impression was a good one!

So, what did we find inside? The contents of the box were themed with various Star Wars items including this book, Star Wars Psychology:  The Dark Side of the Mind.

star wars book

Although I haven’t had a chance to actually look at the contents of the book, it is over 300 pages and was published in October 2015.  Along with the book, we found this…..

Yes, now you can grow your own lightsaber crystals.  They did say this box included items that combined science and science fiction!  We haven’t actually grown our lightsaber crystals yet but I am very interested to see how this works.  Looks like a fun project for me and Brayden during his science lesson this week.

Supply Pod - Power Bank Charger

Another really cool item we found in the box was this R2-D2 shaped Power Bank Charge for your cell phone.  It works on iPhones and Androids.  These things are really handy and it is just an added bonus that it is shaped and designed like R2-D2.

Continuing the Star Wars theme, we found a pair of Star Wars socks.  I like these socks and would probably wear them.  I don’t know if it’s just the men I surround myself with but many of them would not be caught wearing orange socks no matter what was on them.  But, I think there must be someone who loves wearing them because socks are common in many of the subscription boxes I’ve reviewed.  Regardless, I think they are pretty cool socks!

What else did we find?  Jelly Belly Gourmet Jelly Beans Star Wars style!  For the collector, the dilemma becomes whether or not you open them and eat them or keep them for whatever reason a collector keeps the things they do.  I, personally am not a collector of much so my vote would be to eat them.  What would you do?

Supply Pod

For you pin collectors, there was this AT-AT Walker pin from Star Wars.  There isn’t a whole lot to it, but if you are into pins, it’s another one to add to your collection.

Supply Pod

The last thing we found in the box was this Star Wars Poster displaying the canon timeline.  Supply Pod and Outerplaces.com gives you a better view of the poster on their website and explains some of the “holes” in the timeline.  You should definitely check that out!

The Supply Pod starts at $36.99/month plus shipping and handling.  It typically comes every two months and you have 14 days to order the latest box, Bruce vs Clark, which is described on their website as, “The world’s finest heroes clash on the big screen this spring. We’re filling our Pod with “super” gear and gadgets to celebrate.”  I thought the Star Wars box was filled with some really amazing items and I am fairly confident, the current box will not disappoint!

Are you already receiving this box?  If so, what do you think?  Comment below and give us your thoughts.

I am the wife of a real nerd who has developed some nerd-like tendencies along the way. I am a mom of two teenagers who is still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up! I spend my days working at the local community & technical college as a Director of Business & Industry training. At night and on weekends, I love spending time with family, binge-watching tv series, playing video games with the kids, graphic design, and, yes, reviewing products. I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Communication and contemplating a Doctorate…I consider myself a lifetime learner!
