All in total, Nintendo has sold 1133.23 million games on the Switch worldwide — amidst the rumors of the upcoming successor of the Switch, too. The Switch originally came out in March 2017, and since then, the console has gotten multiple refreshes and rereleases, the most meaningful one being the OLED release.

The Switch has had a great run and will need a successor to compete with the best of the best handhelds in the market. The competition in the industry has increased a lot since the original Switch’s release, so it will be interesting to see how powerful the new handheld will be.
