Swords of Legends Online is getting closer to its exciting release later this year, and developers Wangyuan Shengtang & Aurogon and publisher Gameforge have been sharing more and more info about this upcoming alluring MMORPG. Today they bring us a preview of the housing features you’ll be able to build and roleplay in, which includes your very own island in the clouds.
If you’ve been keeping up with the Swords of Legends Online (SOLO) news so far, you’ve seen a lot of the adventuring action you’ll encounter throughout the ancient and mythical Chinese folklore setting of Shenzhou. Today’s housing preview shows off what you’ll be able to build in between quests, PvP, and exploration. The SOLO housing system will allow you to build a place where you can rest, host grand roleplaying events, and set up a crafting business, all on your personal private floating island.

As shown in the newly released Swords of Legends Online: Housing Trailer (embedded above), you’ll have your own large island where you’ll be able to build a sprawling estate. Extensive building mechanics will give you a ton of base building components, as well as plenty of specific customization choices. SOLO won’t lock you into only being allowed to build within a closed interior space, or even on a single level. It seems you’ll be able to build your house as desired in both horizontal and vertical space and do the same with many other features surrounding it.
And as a bonus, what you build on your island can not only be beautiful but also useful. You can craft gardens where you can plant and grow a variety of food, and probably raw materials for crafting, as well. And you’ll even be able to fish from water sources you include on your island. You’ll also be able to build and use your own Forge, Stash, Workbench, and Workshop to take those resources and turn them into finished products.
According to the press release, once your character reaches max level, you’ll have access to a quest that’ll lead you to unlock your island residence. Once unlocked, you’ll have access to daily tasks to complete “to earn new blueprints, materials, and essences for crafting furniture and decorative items.” Additionally, island neighborhoods of up to 20 islands will be available, and you’ll even be able to designate a region of islands just for you and your friends, or for your guild.
