Recently revealed at Gamescom 2021, the release date for Syberia: The World Before has now been announced as launching on December 10th. The game is another entry in the loved Syberia franchise created by the author and comic book artist Benoît Sokal. There has also been information released on the content of the Digital Deluxe edition, along with a new fleshed-out trailer for the experience.
Firstly, Siberia: The World Before is developed by ‘Microids’ and ‘Koalabs’ and published by ‘Microids SA.’ The game follows the journey of Kate Walker and Dana Roze, both having their own individual backstories, and players will get the opportunity to play as both characters. Kate Walker was a lawyer who was informed to be overseeing the sale of a company, and the first game followed her subsequent journey across Europe and Russia to find the brother of the untimely nature of the recently deceased owner. Before the events of Syberia: The World Before after the 3rd installment in the series, Kate Walker now survives as best she can in the salt mine where she has been captured and imprisoned when an event takes place that will propel her into a new adventure in search of her own identity.
On the other hand, Dana Roze is a 17-year-old girl who has begun planning and taking action on having a brilliant career as a pianist. However, Dana is from 1937, and the rumors of a war occurring put her future in jeopardy at the near start of the Second World War. Here is the trailer for Syberia: The World Before revealed at Gamescom:
Players can expect to find an entrancing adventure within the game as players work out and discover the link between Kate Walker and Dana Roze as both characters face their own threats in different time periods entirely. There is a beautiful world to venture through, puzzles to master, and a gorgeous soundtrack composed by Inon Zur, known for his scores in games such as the Fallout series and Dragon Age series, among many more.
