Sydney Sweeney‘s fans appeared genuinely upset that a simple tight t-shirt worn to promote a beverage brand could result in so many seedy remarks last month. On March 9, The White Lotus star updated her Instagram in promo mode for beverage company Bai.
Posing in a casual ensemble as she rocked jeans and a form-fitting white tee, Sydney stunned the camera, also sparking a storm as fans seeing the level of sexualization in early comments took over to shut it all down. One user even felt that the way Sydney was being treated via the comments was “disgusting.” Over 1,500 others agreed. Sweeney does not appear to have gotten involved in the post now sitting at over 1.1 million likes.
Sydney Sweeney Promotes Bai On Instagram
Striking a sassy pose as she pouted and held up a white-packaged box of Bai drinks, Sydney kept it trendy as she modeled a pair of blue jeans and tight white t-shirt.
Keeping her look unfussy and crisp, the Hollywood star wore her light locks down as she placed one hand to her hip, with the belted jeans finish accentuating her trim waist. The further two slides focused on a crowd all enjoying Bai’s beverages.
Comments Are Just Too Much
Confirming her post was a paid partnership, Sydney wrote: “A year ago @drinkbai and I started dreaming up this new flavor for you. 💫 while I was filming I had my grandmas, aunt, and mom help me taste test the perfect combinations. hope you love it as much as we do.”
The remarks themselves have somewhat sunk in the comments and been overtaken by support for Sydney, but they’re still there. “The way people are treating her in these comments is actually foul and disgusting,” one fan stated. Attempting to steer fans away from the mounting pile of inappropriate remarks about the actress’ bust, another wrote: “Can I be the first here to compliment this woman’s work ethic and career as a disciplined actress?”
Also disheartened with Sydney being treated like a piece of meat was the user saying: “These comments are genuinely sad. i loved Sydney’s acting and how hard she works, to see that so many people only comment on her chest is disappointing. women with larger chests are constantly sexualized for simply existing.”
In November 2022, Sydney revealed to GQ that she felt embarrassed developing early and as a result, did everything to prove that “my body does not define who I am.” Sweeney is best known for starring roles in TV shows Euphoria and The White Lotus, plus 2023 movie Reality.
