Good news for crime drama and free-roaming games aficionados. It seems the Grand Theft Auto series’ publisher has firmly dismissed any unsavory rumors of a GTA6 delay. For fans counting down the days to Rockstar Games‘ next massive open-world adventure, this is the reassurance they’ve all been waiting for. Take-Two Interactive’s official statement left little room for doubt: GTA 6 is still on track for the Fall 2025 release window.

The excitement for the next entry to the beloved open-world crime series is undeniable. However, recent reports have stirred some anxiety on the net; it claimed Rockstar Games had to push the GTA 6 release window back. According to the rumors, the game’s launch for consoles had been “internally delayed” to early or mid-2026. Even worse, the PC version was said to potentially take another 12 to 18 months after the console debut. Unsurprisingly, it caused a stir within the community, sparking concerns that the wait for GTA 6 would extend well beyond expectations.

But Take-Two’s explicit reconfirmation of the Fall 2025 timeline seems to address those concerns directly. During the November 7 investor conference call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed the publisher’s dedication to the timeline. “Grand Theft Auto VI is planned to release in fall of Calendar 2025,” was written in bold letters on the conference presentation slide.

Still, other than committing to the launch window set by the reveal trailer, Take-Two and Rockstar have remained tight-lipped on specifics. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as a conference call’s purpose is to update investors and address financial performance, not to reveal game details.

Undoubtedly, Take-Two’s response is a calculated move to reassure both fans and stakeholders it’ll deliver GTA 6 within the planned Fall 2025 window without delay. While unexpected setbacks could always emerge in game development, the publisher’s commitment has renewed fan anticipation for next year. For now, it looks like gamers can finally mark their calendars and prepare the perfect excuses to skip school or work that day.
