In Tales of Arise, gathering crafting materials is paramount if you want to stand a chance against some of the game’s most challenging foes. Forging new weapons and upgrading them is one of many ways you can help overcome many battles in quests that you may be struggling with. Astral Mass is one of many materials used to forge new weapons. You need three to forge the Silver Sword of the Owl for Rinwell and the Feathered Shield for Kisara. If you want to know the easiest way to get Astral Mass in Tales of Arise, we have a few tips right here.

(Updated on July 26, 2024 – Fact-checked and clarified how to obtain Astral Mass).

How to Get Astral Mass in Tales of Arise

The following enemies drop Astral Mass in Tales of Arise:

  • Menancia Armored Swordsman
  • Menancia Armored Marksman
  • Menancia Heavy Spearman

You can find these enemies in Autelina Palace in Menancia. They are located on the second floor of the palace, and you will encounter several during Kelzalik’s Uprising quest while searching for the release mechanism. This also means that once you leave the palace and complete this quest, the guards will stop spawning. Use this time wisely since you will be unable to farm the Astral Mass from these enemies after this point. While you are in the area, however, you are completely free to farm the enemies as much as you wish by exiting and re-entering the second floor.

Alternatively, you can also find Astral Mass on Mount Dhiara, Menancia. Mount Dhiara Cavern contains a sparkling item node that you can interact with. The cavern is connected to the Mountain Trail, which you can find before the Mountain Trail entrance. The sparkling item node respawns after some time has passed. You can revisit this area if you need more Astral Mass and were unable to get enough during your Autelina Palance visit.
