Microsoft recently announced the next batch of games coming to the Xbox Game Pass library in February, and one of those games didn’t belong there. Tales of Arise for Xbox Game Pass was leaked when it was mentioned in the title of the Xbox Wire article even though it was not in the image listing the games for the month.
Microsoft quickly rectified the error and replaced it with PlateUp, which was also present in the image. February will also bring Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, Resident Evil 3, Madden 24, and more. Although the name Tales of Arise has been removed from the Xbox Game Pass lineup, an image of the cached version of the webpage is still available which you can see below.
Tales Of Arise Leaked For Xbox Game Pass
Tales of Arise came out on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation in September 2021 to commercial and critical acclaim. Fans of the long-running series believe that it is one of the best entries in the franchise, which is echoed in the game’s Steam reviews.
Bandai Namco also had long-term content plans for the game, as the game got a DLC expansion at the tail end of 2023. Tales of Arise received Beyond the Dawn DLC in November 2023. The developers have not mentioned any future plans of adding more content to the game, which would make this the perfect time to bring it over to subscription services to boost the DLC sales even more. Game Pass has over 33 million users, so it could result in a massive influx of players who might be potentially interested in the Tales of Arise DLC.
This could still just be a simple technical error on Microsoft’s part, so until any official confirmation is made, we recommend taking this with a grain of salt. If the game really is coming to Xbox’s subscription service, then it should be confirmed within the next few weeks.
