Instead of her fifth re-release, the pop star is excited to share new music with her fans for the first time since “Midnights” was released in October 2022.
The Singer Made the Big Announcement While Accepting a Grammy
Taylor Swift was flying solo at music’s biggest night, but that didn’t stop her from making headlines. Taylor took home her 13th Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Midnights.”
During her acceptance speech, Taylor thanked the Recording Academy, wearing a white Schiaparelli gown with black elbow-length opera gloves. Eagle-eyed fans spotted Taylor wearing a choker among many layered necklaces, with the time set to midnight.
She graciously accepted the honor, saying, “I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans.”

Taylor stuck to her word, sharing the album cover across her social media channels moments later. On it, the singer lays on a bed wearing black high-waisted shorts and a mesh tank. Her eyes are cut out of the photo, adding mystery as she lays with her hands crossed over her torso.
“All’s fair in love and poetry… New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out April 19 🤍,” she wrote in the caption.
