Taylor Swift is making waves with her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The singer’s double album includes more than 30 songs. Of course, fans have already started decoding the lyrics and finding easter eggs within the songs. One song in particular has been revealed to be a major diss track that targets none other than Swift’s old enemy, Kim Kardashian. The lyrics of the tune are brutal and share a raw account of exactly what the singer thinks of her feud with the reality TV star.
Swift’s song, titled “thanK you aIMee,” has been revealed to be about Kardashian. Not only do the capitalized letters spell out Kim’s name, but the lyrics reveal the singer’s true thoughts about the bad blood between her and the Skims creator. In the song, Kardashian is referred to as a “bronze, spray-tanned” bully who would push Swift down the stairs. In addition, Swift sings about her saintly mother wishing Kardashian “was dead” after their highly publicized feud, per OK! Magazine.
Taylor Swift Slams Kim Kardashian on New Album
Taylor Swift also references Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, in the song. After North posted a video online of herself dancing to Swift’s song “Shake It Off,” fans went wild. Now, the singer is using that as a way to hit back at her nemesis. “And so I changed your name, and any real defining clues / And one day, your kid comes home singin’ a song that only us two is gonna know is about you,” the lyrics read.
Previously, Swift spoke out about the mental toll that her feud with Kardashian and her former husband, Kanye West, took on her. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year,” she said, per The Mirror.
Following the release of the diss track, Taylor Swift fans immediately began to troll Kim Kardashian online. Fans took to social media to begin calling Kardashian “Aimee” in her comments section. Kim has yet to respond, but fans will be watching for clues of a reaction.
