Although the Kansas City Chiefs star recently became the highest-paid tight end in the NFL, he still can’t hold a candle to the singer when it comes to finances. Recently, Swift was declared a billionaire, which is a far cry from the athlete’s $40 million net worth.
Of course, not many stars can compete with Swift’s level of fame and wealth. Kelce is no slouch. Not only did he sign a new NFL contract worth more than $34 million, he also has a lot going on off the field. In recent years, the tight end has starred in several commercials, hosted Saturday Night Live, and was even tapped to host a new TV game show.

This week, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship, as well as their financial disparities. Of course, it was all done in good fun, per People.
“Congratulations to Travis Kelce,” Kimmel quipped. “Travis Kelce signed a two-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs. He is now the highest-paid tight end in the NFL. Can you imagine being in a relationship where you make $34 million and you’re still the broke boyfriend?” he continued.
“Another weird thing about dating Taylor Swift is you can be one of the great players of all time, and this is the reaction you get to your contract extension,” Kimmel added.
Meanwhile, the difference in their financial situations doesn’t appear to bother Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce. Not many men would be able to compete with her level of wealth. Besides, it’s about love, not money.
