The whole world has been paying attention to Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and the NFL. The attention has been so great that now Bravo is planning a reality show centered around the team’s WAGS. WAGS stands for “wives and girlfriends,” and if you’re a fan of the Real Housewives series, this new show should be very similar.
Of course, there are a few big names that people would like to see, including Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift, but according to a report from People, they have zero interest in joining the mess.
Taylor Swift Doesn’t Have Time for a Reality Show
A source said that Taylor Swift won’t appear on the new reality show even though she fits the bill. “Taylor and Brittany are not part of the show at all and will not even be filmed,” they said. “Taylor especially is very protective of what little private life she has left.”
They continued, saying the superstar singer, who’s been at the center of controversy lately, “enjoys” the other ladies. However, “she will not be a part of Bravo’s storyline.”
News broke recently that the powerhouse network was planning a show that would likely follow Mecole Hardman Jr’s partner, Chariah Gordon. It’s also said that Sheawana Weathersby, who has children with Chris Jones, would be a focal point.
“There’s still lots to figure out,” the source said. “Including who would be a part of the final cast and whether there’s enough there to build a full series around. It’s very much a work in progress.”
If the show does happen, it won’t be the first time athlete’s girlfriends have hit the small screen. WAGS first aired on E! in 2015, ran for three seasons, and spawned two spin-offs, WAGS: Miami and WAGS: Atlanta.
Some fans were vocal about Bravo turning the Chief’s WAGS into an unscripted series. “Why? Nobody cares,” one user wrote. “Bravo shows are the worst,” another user posted. “They’re known for ruining friendships and marriages. People going to prison. Very messy.” However, the reaction hasn’t been all bad. “Now I’d watch that,” a hopeful fan commented.
So, what will come of this potential new show? Fans will have to stay tuned to see.
