Taylor Swift‘s producer, Jack Antonoff, has taken a bold stance against Kanye West, labeling him a crybaby. Recall that in 2022, Antonoff took a jab at the rapper for the first time, following Ye’s antisemitic rants. Fast forward to Wednesday, the record producer took to X once again with his vocality about the Yeezy mogul. This time, the derogatory tweet stemmed from Antonoff and Ye having the same album release date. As expected, the post sparked many reactions, with fans of Taylor Swift and Kanye West at loggerheads.
Taylor Swift’s Producer Shades Kanye West
Taylor Swift and Kanye West don’t have the best relationship, and it seems like close friends of the Cruel Summer singer feel the same way about the rapper. On Wednesday, Jack Antonoff, a producer, who worked with Swift a few times, took to X to ridicule Ye. Turns out Antonoff wasn’t pleased about his and Ye’s albums having the same release date. The 39-year-old’s band Bleachers’ new album will drop on March 8, the same day as the second installment of Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures album.
“Kanye on bleachers release date is is hilarious little crybaby b***h,” Taylor Swift’s producer tweeted.
Mixed Reactions Trail Antonoff’s Post
In a short while, the post garnered over 40,000 likes and numerous responses. On one hand, Ye’s fans slammed Antonoff, with many calling him a nobody. “Who are you legit??” a tweep quizzed, while another commented, “No one knows you bro cut it out.” A third fan wrote, “Bro hating for attention,” and a fourth shared:
“I promise you Kanye does not know what bleachers is nor does he care about your release date lmao.”
A fifth tweep noted that having separate release dates won’t help Antonoff’s album reach the top ten of the Hot 200. On the other side of the spectrum, Swifties found Antonoff’s post hilarious and fully supported. “We will be streaming bleachers only!” a fan wrote, while another shared, “Your tweets never disappoint.”
A third tweep quipped:
“This account does not have a social media manager and I’m living for it.”
Other Swifties asked Antonoff to pressure Swift to block Ye by releasing her album on March 8 as well. Other fans stayed neutral, explaining that having the same album release dates could merely be coincidental.
