Teacher Fights With Entitled Student in Classroom: ‘Some Kids Need an Ego Check and to Be Brought Back Down to Earth’

How can a student be like that?

I remember being an unruly teenager back in high school. I wouldn’t wear my uniform, and I was always late to class because I wanted to chat with some friends for a few minutes longer. However, not once was I ever genuinely disrespectful to a teacher or authority figure at my school. A student captured their teacher yelling at and kicking out an entitled student after an argument, which was then reposted to Reddit.

The video takes place in a high school classroom and depicts the events from behind the teacher. It’s unclear what the student in front of the teacher said, but it was enough to anger the former immensely. The teacher immediately stood up and got in the student’s face, telling him to leave the classroom. He used more profane language, which I don’t necessarily agree with in a classroom setting, but he ensured that the entitled student walked out the door.

Whatever it was the student had said, no one else tried to defend him. So, the teacher must have been in the right to be so upset about the entire situation. Commenters immediately flooded the replies, criticizing the student for being as entitled as he was.

“Some kids need an ego check and to be brought back down to earth. Don’t like it? Get the f*** out of the class”

I do agree with that. There are a lot of students who genuinely believe they’re above authority in the classroom. Even when I was younger, I never quite understood what a student earns from disrespecting and rudeness to a teacher. Other commenters felt a little more strongly about that opinion.

“I don’t know why an ejection isn’t the norm. Mess around and get sent home, get sent home enough and you’re not welcome back. I don’t care how many administrators won’t get paid, and I don’t care about parents’ schedules.”

Hopefully, the parents got involved, and things were more settled the next time he went to class. Otherwise, he might think it’s okay to do it again.
