Get a glimpse of DC’s new Teen Titans

The Teen Titans are DC’s second best known super team after the Justice League. Heck, they star opposite the JL in one of DC’s recent animated movies. They have two animated series under their belts as well. Therefore, fans are eager to find out what DC Rebirth has in store for them. As a result, Jonboy Meyers is giving the fans what they want at SDCC.

Meyers seems like he is taking the core ideal of Rebirth to heart. That ideal is restoring optimism to the DCU after the darker and edgier stories of New 52. Meyers, first of all, talks about how his inspiration for the team’s new costumes comes from the pre-Flashpoint DCU.

Meyers, furthermore, talks about the overhaul he is giving to the Titan’s traditional T-shaped base. Apparently, the new base is due to the desires of the team’s new leader; Damian Wayne. Because according to Meyers at SDCC;

“When you’re young you want to forge your own path, and it’s really important to have a place where you can express yourself,”

Teen Titans #1 is being written by Benjamin Percy and is hitting shelves later this year on October 26.
