Halloween came and went with intricate costumes, great parties, and a fun time for everyone. Unfortunately, some candy thieves were also out there trying to make the holiday terrible for others. One house caught a few teenagers on their doorbell camera as they ransacked their candy bucket. Fortunately, one of the teens wasn’t have it and decided to do something the others didn’t even consider. The results were posted to TikTok for the whole world to see.

The video is taken from the point of view of a doorbell and depicts Halloween night as children can be seen on the street walking in the background in costume. On the porch of the house is an unmanned bucket of candy with the point being that every person who comes to take one. Unfortunately, a group of teenagers suddenly ransacked the bowl, leaving it empty.

One of the teenagers decided to stay back, pick up the candy that was left on the floor, and put it back in the bowl. He then took his backpack off, unzipped it, and grabbed handfuls of more candy to replace the ones his friends had taken.

The video ends before we can see what happens next. However, the comments are filled with replies commending the teen for his actions when his friends did the exact opposite. One person even said that he probably heard the voice of reason before deciding to take anything for himself.

“Heard his momma voice in his head.”

Other comments reflect on watching a real-life teaching moment for the teenager, who had initially joined them on the porch to also steal candy.

“Low key – We’re witnessing a pivotal moment in this dude’s life. This is the moment bro stopped being a follower and started rethinking who he wants to be and whose company he keeps. Nothing but up from here on out.”

Hopefully, the teen finds different friends to hang out with; ones who also share his empathy and kindness.
