Tekken 8 comes with a plethora of characters, all ready for the next battle! These fighters are all-powerful, and each one of them is suitable for a certain playstyle. However, the experience of learning their moves and using their combos is not equally easy. Some of them throw heavy punches and kicks with a few buttons, while others’ combos are the burden of Hercules himself. The list below separates the Tekken 8 characters in a tier list so that you get to know which are the best to use in the game.
S-Tier
- Marshal Law
- Alisa Boskonovitch
- Ling Xiaoyu
- Jin Kazama
- Jun Kazama
- Asuka Kazama
- Azecena
- Hwoarang
- Leory Smith
- Lee
Tekken 8 really tries to balance the characters and their power. But can you stop Ling Xiaoyu from performing fast-frame combos one after another? Some of the Tekken 8 fighters are so out of this realm with their set of moves and insane quick actions.
For example, Marshal Law, if not the best, is one of the greatest fighters in Tekken 8 that can combine high, mid, and low attacks. Perfect choice for confusing the opponent, even if they get to learn your moves. The same goes for Alisa Boskonovitch, a super-buffed robot that can do damage in any range and any section.
Another S-Tier character with tanky attacks and easy-to-use combos is Jin Kazama. Jin has always been a hard character to deal with in previous Tekken games. But thanks to the new moves and combos designed for this character, you can now enjoy dominating the field as Tekken 8‘s protagonist and one of the top fighters in our Tekken 8 tier list.
A-Tier
- Reina
- Bryan Fury
- Devil Jin
- Feng
- Kazuya
- King
- Lars
- Nina Williams
- Paul Phoenix
- Victor
A-Tier is the place for those characters who are just as strong as S, but they need a lot of practice to master, or they have shortcomings like Reina. Surprised to see the new character not being on the top? That’s because Reina’s combos are not focused on low attacks. It’s important for an S-caliber character to be able to attack the opponent from all angles.
On the list, we also have Feng and even Paul Phoenix. Put their moves into practice, and you’ll unlock the god mode. These characters, like Nina Williams and Victor, are some of the best fighters in this Tekken 8 tier list. But their combos require hours to master. Victor and Lars have quick moves, best for punishing the opponent’s combos, while Nina and King have grapple techniques that can even stop your target’s Power Crush.
B-Tier
- Panda
- Kuma
- Claudio
- Dragunov
- Jack-8
- Lili
- Raven
- Shaheen
- Steve Fox
- Yoshimitsu
- Zafina
- Leo
If you ever wanted to challenge your friends to play the hardest characters in the game, introduce them to Kuma and Panda. Seems like Xiaoyu’s training was not great enough to educate the bears to fight better and get a higher rank in Tekken 8‘s character tier list.
Now while some of the fighters in the B-tier list are not as efficient, many of them could turn you into a true master if you learn them. For example, put Steve Fox and Yoshimitsu in the right hands, and they might even defeat Jin and Xiaoyu with their super moves and quick actions. Zafina and Leo are also on this boat.
Now, remember, all fighters in Tekken 8 are powerful in their own way, and this list shows how easy and hard it is to master them. So, if you’re a confident combo master, try going for characters like Steve Fox and Kazuya. But if you’re a newcomer or just want to have a meta character in online matches, Ling Xiaoyu and Alisa are your ideal picks.
Tekken 8 is currently available to play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
