The Heat system is a new way of attacking inย Tekken 8, allowing players to damage the opponent even if they’re blocking. The new technique comes with a new bar that replenishes every round, helping your character maximize the offense. But how can we take advantage of the Heat mode inย Tekken 8, and what moves can you perform while using it? Here’s everything you need to know about the Heat Dash, Smash, and recoverable health inย Tekken 8.

To activate the Heat for your character, you’d simply need to press the R1/RT button. Your Heat is always fully charged on every round, so you won’t need to do attacks or make a successful defense to charge it. With that in mind, try to always use the Heat before each round wraps.

Notice: There’s a second way to activate the Heat in Tekken 8 called the “Heat Engager.” After you perform certain moves with your character, they go into the Heat mode and give you a bonus on continuing your combos using Heat Dash and Heat Smash in Tekken 8. These moves are different for each character.

Once activated, you’ll be able to perform your normal moves and attacks and damage the enemy when they’re blocking. However, the more useful sight of the Heat in Tekken 8 is that you get to perform some moves that you can not do normally with each character.

For example, you can perform Heat Smash by pressing the R1/RT button while in Heat mode to perform an auto combo. This will drain a lot of your opponent’s HP if gets connected. There’s also the Heat Dash, which allows for a very quick running forward, thus merging your different combos.

When you’re hit by the enemy’s Heat Attacks, you’ll get to recover the amount of HP you’ve lost in Tekken 8. This is marked like the one you see in the image above. When there’s still a chance, you need to attack your opponent, while on each hit, you recover more of your health.

Remember, your recoverable health will only regenerate before getting hit with normal attacks. If the opponent gets you before recovering, all the regeneratable HP will be lost.
