DONTNOD Entertainment is renowned at this point for its narratively driven games, especially Life is Strange. The first game is stellar, landing much critical acclaim. I’d even consider it in my top five favorite games of all time. They’ve proven time and again that they can tell a story effectively. Now, it’s time for them to explore yet another story outside of Life is Strange. Tell Me Why is a three-chapter series, exploring a new world similar to Life is Strange, but taking things in a refreshing direction. DONTNOD Entertainment is happy to announce that Chapter 1 is now available on PC and Xbox One. You can find the launch trailer below.

Tell Me Why explores the lives of Alyson and Tyler, a brother and sister reunited after ten years of being apart. They’ve come back to their home to sell their childhood house, but their home as kids is not the way they remember. Throughout the game, Alyson and Tyler must discover the secrets of their past and put the pieces together. Your choices influence how their relationship develops, with branching narratives and several results. Will Alyson and Tyler rekindle their sibling bond, or will they only grow further apart? The choice is up to you.

You can play Tell Me Why through Steam or the Xbox Store. Owners of Game Pass on PC or Console are also in luck, as they now have full access to the first chapter. You’ll also have access to chapters two and three once they release later this year. Those who want to purchase the full game can do so for $39.99 on their chosen storefront.

I’m excited to dive into Tell Me Why and see how DONTNOD have shaken things up. I’d love to hear your thoughts though. What do you think of Tell Me Why’s premise? Which of DONTNOD’s previous titles is your favorite? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
